Last weekend, I popped into Central London to celebrate one of my close friend’s 21st Birthday. The birthday girl herself is vegan, and so we all had dinner at Mildreds on the recommendation of a university friend of mine.
It was the first time I’ve been to Mildreds let alone a vegan restaurant and had no idea what to expect. However, to my surprise, the menu had a variety of different cuisines and dishes to suit all tastes. Although Mildreds isn’t 100% vegan, the majority of the food was vegan, but you can always request a vegetarian meal to be made vegan, and there are also gluten-free dishes available for anyone interested.
It’s worth noting that this restaurant doesn’t take bookings for birthday parties and also don’t let you bring your own cake (if you wanted to).
For starters, I had dumplings and as you can see there was plenty to share. They tasted amazing and the stuffing inside was very well seasoned vegetables! They tasted so good, especially with the sweet chilli sauce, they were gone within 5 minutes of arrival!
For my main course, I had a halloumi burger with a side of sweet potato fries! (the fries don’t come with the burger btw, had to order separately). However, It was by far the best veggie burger I’ve ever had and very filling!
For dessert, I really wanted to try the recommended item on the dessert menu – chocolate peanut butter brownie with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, sounds like a dream, (my inner fat girl is screaming!) But the thought of eating more was just impossible, I had a massive food baby by the end of my meal. So dessert was a no-no!
By the end of dinner all of us had a mini photo shoot and if you don’t know Molly Grace Etti, well let me introduce you to an amazing creator who deserves way more credit! (Go follow her Instagram!!)
I hope you liked this!
Until next time! Have a wonderful week!
