Updated Skin Care Routine & Face Mask Review: The Body Shop HIMALAYAN CHARCOAL

Hello Stranger…

It’s been forever since I’ve dropped a review, so here is one relevant to everyone and I think people need to know about this face mask, especially those who travel to polluted areas like central London every day!

You may need a cup of tea before reading, so settle down, sip and relax  ^-^

My Face has changed DRAMATICALLY ~

My skincare routine has changed a lot since I’ve done the last post about my skincare routine, I’ve taken products out, I’ve swapped products and incorporated new ones.

One of the new ones I have incorporated is The Body Shop: Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask! (£17)

Since I’ve been travelling to London a lot, sleeping late nights, stressing over uni my skin has gone crazy and broken out! I have dry skin, acne on my cheeks, cystic acne to be precise and normal spots, my skin has terrible discolouration and has no glow to it what so ever.

Up until I found this holy grail! ~

How I use this face mask ~

I like to use this when I wake up in the morning, right after I wash my face and before I shower.

I aim to use this mask 3 times a week at most.

I apply the mask with my fingers because I find it easier to but you can always buy the brush for £8 (I didn’t).

The texture is silky consists of bits of green tea leaves. The mask is easy to apply and spread over the skin, the mask it will feel cold and has a tingly sensation and later will feel really stiff when it’s dried.

I leave it on for about 20 minutes until it completely dries and then I jump in the shower wash it off. I rub the mask off in circular motions so I’m using the green tea bits as an exfoliator.

Once I’m out the shower and I have pat my face down with a towel, I hydrate my skin using Almond Oil and that’s it.

On a serious level, this mask has saved my skin … no exaggeration. I’ve used this mask twice and already my cystic acne has got smaller, my dark spots are near to disappearing and my skin is healing up and my dark spots are fading!

Rating: 9/10:  I don’t give it a 10/10 because it’s a pricey item to buy.

Hope you found this to be helpful!

Nisha x
