Haul & Review: The Ordinary

I’ve heard some amazing things about this brand and out of everything I’ve heard the cherry on top of this brand is that it’s so damn affordable!!

So I purchased the; The Ordinary Coverage Foundation, The Ordinary Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil and The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer.

This isn’t an understatement when I say this: I love all of these products. Every single one of them!

So let me break down each product and tell you what I like about them:

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation (£5.90) :

I’m in the colour 2.1 Y which is equivalent to a MAC NC42.

I really like this foundation because it blends like a dream! There is no effort in having to apply this and gives such a beautiful and natural finish and whilst wearing this foundation and I feel like I’m not wearing foundation through the whole day! I do set this with a powder to make my foundation last all day. I love the look of this foundation so much! Even my own aunt and my mum complimented how nice my makeup looked! (Which is rare because they always complain how cakey my face looks).

However, you may need to cover your spots or dark spots on your face using a concealer because the coverage of this foundation is about a 7/10. The concealer I use is the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NW35.

The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer (£3.90) :

I like this product because it leaves a really nice smooth base for me to apply my foundation and little goes a long way with this. I like how it blurs out any pores on my face and softens any acne scars that are healing on my face.

The Ordinary Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil (£9.00) :

I bought this because I’ve heard Rosehip Oil is good for reducing the signs of photo-ageing and is rich in linoleic acid, linolenic acid and pro-vitamin A.

After using this I have noticed my skin looks a lot healthier and my skin seems to be healing a lot faster than using moisturizer alone for my acne scars. The consistency is quite thick and takes a while to sink in so I leave it on for a good 10-15 mins before applying my primer and foundation.

This is how my makeup looked using these three products (I did add a little blush, eyeliner, mascara and tinted lip balm to finish off the look) :
