It’s actually sad how little self-control I had this month. I found some gems and I just had to have them – I mean, if you’re thinking about it, buy it – life is too short to have regrets.
(This was the first time I ever did a flat lay!)
Disclaimer.. Some of the photos have this annoying orange tinge, that’s just the lighting, not my editing.
So, first off, I went very old school and repurchased the Bourjois Bronzing Powder in Medium 51. Whenever I wear this, my face looks a lot healthier on the days where I feel lifeless. I also bought the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara Very Black, I have worn it twice but I feel like you have to wipe off excess product before using it, so I’m waiting for it to dry out a little, however, it holds the curl of my lashes really well!
Then on to books, I know I have a long list of “to read” books on my shelf but there was no harm in buying two more; Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami and Goodbye, Things, on Minimalist Living by Fumio Sasaki. I’m interested to see how easy it is to opt a minimalist life style.
I know we are July and October seems faaar away, but these jumpers were too damn cheap and cute not to buy.
The picture above doesn’t do the colours of the jumpers justice. The jumper with the frill is a soft neutral pink. I found the frills to be a cute detail and the turtle neck is really soft and a relaxed fit. I think both of these would be perfect to wear when I’m off to University. Both of these jumpers are from Warehouse.
Then I bought a really nice pair of ankle boots, they’re about 3 inches in height and suede. I did apply crep protect on them to save them from being ruined by the rain. These boots were from Debenhams. They have a pointed tip and they’re slip on and they hug really nice to my feet and are comfortable to walk in.
(I’ll probably do an outfit post soon when the weather is appropriate)
I also got a new tote bag, I always have black handbags but never brown ones, so I tried something new and bought this from House of Fraser for £17 when they were originally £68 (BLOODY STEAL). I’m so glad I bought this, I really like the shape and the length of the strap is perfect, it’s not too long or short and I found it to be really spacious even though it looks small.
Lastly, I bought a new pair of glasses. I haven’t had my eyes checked in over 2 years and I knew I was very over due for a check up. So, I picked up these up from Specsavers, from the Kylie Minogue collection in number 12. I really liked the whole ombre look on the glasses, in my opinion, they look really retro. I hate the case though.
I hope you liked this!
Thanks for reading! ^-^
